Voigtlaender rebadges Premier offering, dubs it Vito 65

Premier should just start reselling its designs to ho hum resellers rather than spending the loot to brand its own products, as it seems to be the object of desire for companies like Ricoh and Voigtlaender. Nevertheless, Germany’s own has rebadged the DM6365 and slapped a Vito 65 logo on it, but didn’t bother tweaking the specs.

Casio EX-S770D brings DivX to Europe this month

Oh Casio, why must you taunt us with such slick cameras and only make them available in Europe? Indeed, more than four months after the release of the EX-S600D, Casio has just launched its latest DivX-certified digicam, appropriately called the EX-S770D.

This new cam is now rockin’ 7.2 megapixels, shootin’ DivX in a 16:9 aspect ratio,and packin’ a 3x optical zoom (plus 4x digital zoom) along with a 2.8-inch screen. We don’t know how many euros this’ll cost, but it’ll probably be somewhere around the EX-S770’s (pictured) price of $380 (€298) when it hits the continent before December.

Nikon D40 upcoming budget DSLR

Leaked pics of an upcoming DSLR from a manufacturer like Nikon never go unnoticed. Recently on the website of Neckermann a German retailer two images of Nikon D40 mysteriously popped up. At the heart of the camera is a 6 Megapixel CCD, 3 point focussing however auto focus motor and a status LCD are absent to help keep the cost down. The missing features will be a detterent for professional photographers but not for those shifting to compact digital cameras.
